Benefits of Outdoor
Recreational
Activities
Think of an outdoor activity you experienced before. What benefits did
you get out of doing it? Maybe you will immediately answer “fun” because you
enjoyed a lot. But your experience is not only all about fun! Unconsciously,
you were able to breathe the fresh air by the woods and saw the amazing sight
of nature. It is a healthy experience. Having a close contact with nature brings
so much positive effects to you as a person. Feeling well contributes to a
better quality of life.
The following are the benefits of outdoor recreational
activities:

1-Physical Health Benefits

Being outdoors allows you to move your body freely.

You have a lot of activities to choose from walking,
running, jogging, biking, – swimming, boating and the
like. If you are stuck to gadget now, put it down. You are
having a sedentary life but it is never too late to start it
right.
2-Psycho-Emotional Benefits

This is where your answer comes in fun. Doing

outdoor recreational activities allows you to
relax and feel renewed. Looking at the green
environment makes you feel good and helps
reduce stress.
3-Social Benefits
Doing outdoor activities allows you to have a
strong family bonding and to meet other people.
Say hi and hello to the people you meet is a good
start of having new friends and it helps develop a
community.
1. Communication And Collaboration
The biggest advantage of social media is better
communication. A student can connect with anyone at any
point in time via Kids Messenger or WhatsApp.
They can use such platforms via their smartphone, tablet or
computer, and learners can exchange questions, make
phone calls or video calls. If a student is stuck with their
homework, they can always communicate with their friends
or tutors. They don’t need to wait and meet the teacher
physically.
2. Finding Concrete Information Online
Various websites and social media networks are providing
plenty of information that can be helpful to students. Via
social media news feeds, students can find informational
and relevant websites they want to follow so as to be kept
in the loop. Depending on their interests, students can find
answers to their questions. Sites, such as Tumblr and
Pinterest, can offer children inspirations for school projects
or practical problem-solving.
3. Parental Involvement
Social media help the parents stay involved in the child’s
learning. Via the school’s Twitter or Facebook feed parents
can be updated on school-related activities, projects, and
events that are happening. The school teachers can get in
touch with the parents in case they want to share the child’s
progress via Skype or other secure online platforms the
institution uses. A social network for parents can be created
too via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, which can
enable them to be informed about school matters, learning,
and education.
4-Economic Benefits
When you are at a relax mood, you tend to love to work
and become efficient and productive in your work
place. In addition, recreational activities create more
jobs and economic activities, thus contributing to
economic growth of your community.
5-Spiritual Benefit

Close your eyes. Feel the cool breeze of

nature. It brings certain calmness in
you. It heals and soothes your body
and soul.
