ROBs (i.e. Asarwa & Kalupur) to facilitate running of Dwarf container in Double stack (Height 4877mm) in Ahmadabad station area of Ahmadabad Division of Western Railway. sizat : Western Rly’s letter no. W.755(Condonation/W4), dated 10.01.18. With reference to the above referred application; sanction of the Ministry of Railways, Railway Board is hereby communicated for Condonation to IRSOD provisions (A & C Slip No. 07 to Clause 1 Chapter V-A of IRSOD) to adopt reduced Electrical Clearance (Long time and Short time) at 2 Nos. ROBs (ie. Asarwa & Kalupur) to facilitate running of Dwarf container in Double stack (Height 4877mm) in Ahmadabad station area of Ahmadabad Division of Western Railway, as shown in Form-XVII and drawings, accompanying above referred letter. The above condonation is subject to stipulations as under (i) Provision of additional supports on both sides of ROBs to reduce oscillations of contact wire under ROBs. (ii) Container shall be secured properly so as to avoid any vertical oscillations. (iil) The height of rolling stock from rail level shall not be exceed 4877mm in any case. (iv) Catenary to be terminated on either side of the overline structure and suitable arrangements (cable/insulated catenary/double contact wire arrangement) be made for ensuring current carrying capacity of OHE under the overline structure. (v)—OHE span to be made as small as possible under the overline structure. (vi) There should not be any gradient of contact wire under the overline structure. (vii) High voltage insulating coating of about 3 mm to be provided under overline structure as already approved by RDSO vide letter no. Ti/OHE/ECAC/11, dated 24.11.2014 for Central Railway. This insulating coating should prevent breakdown of insulation due to dust and moisture. (vill) Provision of insulating sheet about 6 mm thickness should be tried, if feasible under overline structure as a desirable measure. The insulating sheet shall either be ‘Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Sheet’ or ‘Epoxy bonded’ in terms of RDSO letter no. T/OHE/ECAC/7 dated 02/05.05.2008. continue/poge-2 fey2 (ix) As many as parallel earthing paths to be provided for ROB as possible. (x) Lighting Arrestor (42kV, 10kA) shall be provided on OHE on either side of the overline structure, under which this reduced clearance are adopted to clip the impulse voltage of OHE to a value equal to residual voltage rating of the Lighting Arrestor. (xi) Permanent Bench mark shail be provided to indicate the level of track to be ‘maintained after track lowering has been done. (xii) Regular and periodic monitoring of the site is to be ensured. (xii) Protective relays and circuit breakers shall be maintained in good condition. (xiv) Proper earthing of ROBs shal! be ensured and periodically checked by Railways. (av) Raising of track shall not be permitted at these locations. Permanent marking of present rail level shall be done. (xvi) Joint checking of Rail level and Electrical clearances shall be done at every 3 ‘months by Electrical and Engineering department and records shall be kept with traceability. (xvii) Permanent board shall be provided on both sides of ROBs to indicate infringement. (xviii) Infringements shail be recorded in SOD infringement register. (xix) Infringements shall be removed up to 31.01.2019 (for Asarwa ROB) and up to 30.04.2020 (for Kalupur ROB).
