• Kathreen B went to the office of Atty. Andrea as Kathreen planned to file a

VAWC case against Daniel P. During the legal consultation, Kathreen
divulged to Atty. Andrea how their once happy love affair turned sour. She
also told Atty. Andrea how and when the verbal, physical and sexual abuse of
Daniel P transpired.

Two weeks after the legal consultation, Kathreen B saw Atty. Andrea at a
coffee shop and she then told Atty. Andrea that she is no longer interested in
filing a VAWC case against Daniel P because she wanted to give him a 5 th
chance. Atty. Andrea who was seemingly annoyed at that time, shared to her
companions Atty. Criza and Atty. Bea the matters relayed to her by Kathreen
B during the consultation. She reasoned that she is no longer bound by the
rule on confidentiality since no engagement materialized. Is Atty. Andrea
correct? Explain.
