Dew is the moisture that forms as a result of condensation. It is the result of water
changing from a vapour to a liquid.
Dew forms as temperatures drop and objects cool down. If the object becomes cool
enough, the air around the object will also cool. Colder air is less able to hold water vapour
than warm air. It forces water vapour in the air around cooling objects to condense. When
condensation happens, small water droplets form—dew.
The temperature at which dew forms is called the dew point. The dew point varies
widely, depending on location, weather and time of day.
Weather conditions can also influence an area’s dew point. Strong winds, for instance,
mix different amounts of water vapour. This reduces the atmosphere’s ability to form dew.
Less dew is formed in this condition.
Humid locations, such as the warm, coastal tropics, are more likely to experience dew
than arid areas. Humidity measures the amount of water vapour in the air. Warm, humid air
is full of moisture that can condense during calm, cool nights.
3. ” This reduces the atmosphere’s ability to form dew.” (pargraph 4) The
word “reduces” in the sentence is closest in meaning to . . .
A. adds
B. raises
C. increases
D. decreases

I have a favorite wallet. My sister bought it for me four years ago in a bookstore. We
got discount for it. She gave it to me because she knew that my old wallet was already
broken. Until now the wallet is still in a good condition and I can still use it. I am very
grateful that my sister gave it to me.
The type of my favorite wallet is long wallet. The length is about 21 centimeters. It

the right corner of the front side.
The inner side is full of pocket or space to keep cards and money. It is divided into
two sides, the right side and the left side, each of it is divided into three layers of storage.

is where we can keep important cards such as id card, credit card, atm card, driving license
and any other important card. The first layer of the right side has a transparent pocket
where we can put a photo of our family whereas the first layer of the left side doesn't have
it. Both card holder on each side is positioned vertically. The second and the third layer of

When I was in junior high school, I was not a very diligent student. In fact, I was quiet
lazy. I hated all the subjects that I took during school, especially science. For me science was
very difficult. It was hard for me to remember the chemical processes, physics calculations,
and biological processes.
Once, my teacher grounded me in the library because I did not do my Biology
homework. The teacher asked me to read several books and make a summary about them.
When I was browsing the shelves, I found a book entitled “The inventors of Medicine “. I
thought “Ok, this is a start”. I took it out then began reading it.
I learned from the book about Edward Janner. He was an English doctor who found
the cure for smallpox. The next one was Louis Pasteur. His interest in bacteria led him to
discover the treatment for rabies and anthrax. Just like Pasteur, Robbert Koch’s experiments
on bacteria also proved that Tuberculosis can be spread to others by contact. Finally, there
was Alexander Flemming, a British bacteriologist who found the first antibiotic and
penicillin.
After I read the book, I realized that science is useful for human kind. By studying, we
can discover things that can help human kind. Therefore, since that moment, I managed to
change my behavior and became a doctor.

that the palm sugar dissolves. Strain, discard the pandan leaves and all the
impurities. Put the strained liquid into a large skillet/frying pan.
4. Once the sticky rice has finished steaming, transfer the rice into the skillet/frying
pan containing the palm sugar syrup. Cook on low heat, stir until the liquid is

 50 ml hot water
 250 ml coconut milk
 200 gram palm sugar, shaved or chopped to small pieces

Tools:
 8 inch square (i.e. 20 cm square) baking tray

heat. Reduce heat and simmer them for 10 minutes, stir to make sure that the palm
sugar dissolves. Strain, discard the pandan leaves and all the impurities. Put the
strained liquid into a large skillet/frying pan.

containing the palm sugar syrup. Cook on low heat, stir until the liquid is fully

Coronaviruses are a group of related RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals
and birds. In humans and birds, they cause respiratory tract infections. Mild illnesses in
humans include some cases of the common cold, while more lethal varieties can cause SARS,
MERS, and COVID-19. In cows and pigs, they cause diarrhea, while in mice, they cause
hepatitis and encephalomyelitis. The name "coronavirus" is derived from Latin corona,
meaning "crown" or "wreath". The word was first used in print in 1968 by an informal
group of virologists in the journal Nature to designate the new family of viruses.
The coronavirus usually moves from one person to another with small drops made
when coughing or sneezing. It mostly spreads when people are close to each other.
Coronavirus can also spread when people touch a surface with the virus, and then they touch
their face. Common symptoms include fever, cough, and trouble breathing. The illness can
worsen with pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome. People can avoid spreading
the virus by regularly washing their hands, covering their mouth when coughing, maintaining
distance from other people, staying away from crowds, wearing medical or cloth face
coverings, and being alone for people who think they are infected.
