The modular design of the FloBoss


S600, and its wide range of
communication and expansion
options, lets it be easily adapted to
your requirements however they
might change.

The FloBoss S600 offers two RS232


ports with handshake signals and TCP/IP Ethernet Network
three differential communications
ports. Each of these three ports can
be independently configured point-
to-point (RS-422) or multi-dropped
(RS-485), supporting both two-wire
and four wire protocol. In addition,
there is a 10BaseT (Twisted Pair)
Ethernet interface utilizing TCP/IP
protocols for flexibility and
network connectivity.

The processor bus meets IEEE


standards allowing easy upgrades
when it becomes necessary. Code
is written in ANSI C for the Intel FloBoss S600 Flow Computers
Processor for maximum portability.

In addition to front panel operation, the FloBoss S600


can be accessed over the internet through its Ethernet
port. This gives users the ability to remotely view
reports, displays, and diagnostics as well as read and
change data from almost anywhere in the world.

Advanced security protocols control user access or


limit the number of viewable and changeable items
according to the user’s security access level.

Navigation is made simple through a logical menu


system and many of the screens present the data points
in a format identical to the front panel display.

interface and makes the FloBoss S600 easy to use.

Expansion Boards
The FloBoss S600 is supplied with one P144 I/O board and one P148 Pulse Mezzanine as standard. There
are two additional slots available to accept additional expansion boards, these can be the following:
P144 I/O Board – Provides the S600 with additional analog and digital I/O.
P148 Pulse Mezzanine – Provides pulse input capability. Fits on P144 and P154 boards and does not
use an additional slot.
P154 Prover board – For applications with a prover.
P188 HART board – For applications with HART transmitters.
P190 2nd Ethernet board – Provides a second Ethernet port.
