away and followed the method I wrote down, by following the easy steps of my method I had the
whole experiment ready to go in just a little time. Use the graduating pipette to accurately measure

16%. We measured the mass of the potatoes at the beginning and at the end of the experiment, and
then recorded our results. At the point 0.00 M the line for after the experiment is above the line for
before the experiment unlike any of the others. I think I took easily enough results for the amount of
concentrations that I was using, and the time that I used for the experiment to last was enough to
allow sufficient osmosis to occur. I also will remove excess water solution on the potato pieces using
paper towels and weigh them. Ranging from distilled water to a 0.7M sucrose solution as follows;
distilled water, 0.1M, 0.3M 0.5M and 0.7M. I will also weigh each piece and make sure they are of
identical mass, it is important this stage is executed accurately since if one piece has a different
starting mass or surface area, this could seriously impair the results. A plant cell would loose mass

solution I will use a graduating pipette. The range of concentrations was adequate but I would
possibly create more concentrations if I repeated the experiment so that I would have more varied
results, i.e. 0.10m, 1.15m, 1.20m, and so on. This way would have allowed me to also find out the
isotonic point far more accurately as the one that I estimated is very approximate. From distilled
sucrose molar solution it keeps dropping (decreasing) until it reaches to 1.60 molar, which is the point
from when it goes up nearly 10%.
