o Multimetre
o Grounding wrist strap (LYB 250 01 or equivalent)
o Torque screwdriver with bit holder, 1/4", LSS 101 05/2
o Screwdriver bit, TX30, L=26 mm, LSA 126 01/30
o Screwdriver bit, TX8, L=26 mm, LSA 126 01/8
o Screwdriver bit, TX5
o Torque wrench, 3/8", L=300 mm, LSS 227 47
o Socket 3/8", L=45 mm, LSB 124 901/30

 Preparation before plan the activity

 Check the new EGEM status and reference

 Make sure that all installed cables on the running subrack have correct etiquette
(preferable to make pictures, diagram descriptive including all housed board with
thier cables position).
 Perform fresh CP and APG backup and export them to external media
 Perform NWI backup for both A and B side (sh config is enough)

 Steps to be followed during activity time in MW

1) Pre-Healthy Check

2) Power Off EGEM2 Subrack

 Shut down Passive AP node with prcboot -s (wait few minutes until green led will be
off on APUB board)
 Shut down Active node with prcboot -s (wait few minutes until green led will be off on
APUB board)
 Power off both PFM one by one (PFM-A and PFM-B)

3) Replace the faulty subrack

 Disconnected all existing cables

 Desinstall and remove faulty subrack from the rack (without removing boards)
 Install the new subrack
 Remove the 3 starbs from the old mag and insert them in new one
 Remove boards from old mag and reinsert them in the new mag, one by one from left
to the right (this is very important to keep boards in their original positions)
 Reconnect cables according to their original places (same ports should be used)

4) Power ON new EGEM Subrack

 Power on both PFM modules and wait for 10 min to allow APG & CP start
 Check if both APG&CP are accessible
