Idli:

 2 cups idli rice (parboiled rice)


 1 cup urad dal (husked black gram)
 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds (celery seed, mustard seed)
 Salt to taste

Moong Dal Soup:

 1 cup split moong beans (mungo)


 1 tablespoon ghee (butter)
 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
 1 teaspoon coriander powder (cumin powder)
 1 teaspoon red chili powder
 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
 Salt to taste
 2 cups water
 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (parsley)

Ragi Porridge:

 1 cup ragi flour (finger fillet)


 2 cups water
 1 teaspoon sugar
 1/2 teaspoon salt
 1/4 cup ghee (butter)

Steamed or Roasted Vegetables:

 2 cups broccoli florets


 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
 2 zucchini, peeled and chopped
 1 tablespoon olive oil
 Salt and pepper to taste

Lean Meat and Fish:

 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts


 1 tablespoon olive oil
 1 teaspoon salt
 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Lauki Sabzi:

 1 bottle gourd, peeled and diced (upo)


 1 tablespoon ghee (butter)
 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
 1 teaspoon coriander powder
 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
 1/2 teaspoon garam masala (curry powder)
 Salt to taste
 1 cup water
 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (parsley)

Khichdi:

 1 cup rice
 1/2 cup moong dal
 1 tablespoon ghee (butter)
 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
 1 teaspoon coriander powder
 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
 Salt to taste
 3 cups water
 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (parsley)
