TITLE : Assessment of Learning Centers in San Mateo Vocational and
Industrial High School

A. Importance of the Study

This study is believed to be beneficial to San Mateo Vocational High School
in particular. The adequacy of books to meet the needs of the students and
teachers will ensure prompt and efficient services.

Students: They will be encouraged to go to the different learning centers for

different learning purposes in convenient place.

Faculty and staff: They will be encouraged to use quality books that will
enable them to enrich their syllabi.

Administrator: The findings of the study will serve as an eye opener for the
administrator to be supportive for the needs of the learning center towards
the achievement of quality learning centers services.

B. Objectives of the Study

This study aimed to assess the present status of Learning Centers in San
Mateo Vocational and Industrial High School.
It aimed further to determine its learning collections and learning facilities.

C. Statistical Analysis
The data to gather through the questionnaire and observations will be
statistically treated using several techniques. Descriptive statistics
such as frequency counts and percentage will be use to analyze the
personal profiles of the respondents as well as the status of the
SMVIHS Learning Center’s Services. Percentage to be done follows:

P=F/n x 100
Where: P= Percentage
F=Frequency
N= total number of respondents
To determine the weighted average, the formula will be shown as
follows:
Weighted mean
X= (FX) / n
Where:
X= scale value
n= total number of respondents
F= frequency of respondents

The computation of weighted average will be describe using 5point

scale. The description are as follows:
