Instagram Contest Rules and Conditions

1. Organizers
Jorge Marin Foundation in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta.

2. Objectives
• Promote Brookhaven’s Buford Highway Cultural Corridor and the City of Brookhaven as a space for cultural diversity and assimilation.
• Activate the interaction between the local community and visitors.
• Invite the public to visit the city to interact with the work of Jorge Marín.
• Encourage reflection on the concepts of freedom and movement represented in Jorge Marin’s work.

3. Participants and Rules

• Anyone 18 years of age or older, who have an Instagram account can participate free of charge and voluntarily.
• Contestants can only compete with one photograph.
• Each contestant must be the author of the photograph and agrees to release all copyrights of the photograph to the Organizers at the time
of submission.
• Contestants are responsible for any claim that may be made for image rights and, in addition, must make sure that there are no third-party
rights on the photograph in the contest.
• Contestants grant the Jorge Marín Foundation, the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta, and the City of Brookhaven all the rights to
the image for their use in connection with the contest.
• The photograph must not show offensive symbols that denigrate any person, or signs that have been linked directly or indirectly to groups
of religious, political, or social repression.
• Participants must not appear naked in the photograph, nor must they violate the restrictions established by Instagram.

• Employees of the Sponsors, Organizers, and/or the City of Brookhaven, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
• Participants must not climb, alter, deface, or damage in any way the sculptures during the process of taking the pictures for the contest

4. Dates
The contest will only accept photographs between February 1 and March 31, 2023.

5. Communication of the contest

The requirements and rules for participation will be published through the following Instagram accounts: @jorgemarinmx, @
fundacionjorgemarin, @consulmex_atlanta and @brookhavengagov.

6. Process to participate
• Follow the Instagram accounts: @jorgemarinmx, @fundacionjorgemarin, @consulmex_atlanta, @brookhavengagov, @explorebrookhaven
and @vivatequilafestival.
• Take a photo with one of the nine sculptures of Wings of the City exhibition in Brookhaven.
• In the caption of the photo, write a word, phrase, or quote that the sculpture inspires you in English or Spanish.
• Tag @jorgemarinmx, @fundacionjorgemarin, @consulmex_atlanta, @brookhavengagov, @explorebrookhaven and @vivatequilafestival.
• Post the image to your Instagram feed (not stories) using the hashtag #wingsofthecityBrookhaven and/or #alasdelaciudadBrookhaven.

7. Winners
The three winning photographs (first, second, and third place) will be determined by the highest successive number of likes obtained by
the images in the contest. (By midnight on March 31,2023).

8. Results
The contest will be monitored by the Jorge Marín Foundation.
On April 5, 2023, the Jorge Marín Foundation, the Consulate of Mexico in Atlanta, the City of Brookhaven and Explore Brookhaven will
publish the winners on their respective social media accounts.

9. Awards

First place:
• Treinta y cinco, 2017 | Lithograph |56x38cm
• A trip to Mexico for two people and a visit to Jorge Marin’s Studio.
• Two round travel certificates Atlanta – Mexico City – Atlanta sponsored by Delta Air Lines.
• Transportation from and to the airport.
• A two (2) nights – three (3) days stay in Galeria Plaza Hotel in Mexico City in a double room
with breakfast included Sponsored by Viva Tequila Festival.
• A Private City Tour operated by Mexitours.
• Transportation from the hotel to Jorge Marin’s Studio and return to the hotel.

Second place:
• Hombre de pie, 2006 | Lithograph | 47x32cm
• $100 gift card from a Brookhaven restaurant (Pure Taqueria).
Sponsored by Explore Brookhaven.

Third place:
• Hombre Círculo, 2018 | Lithograph | 29.5 x 21.5cm
• $75 gift card from a Brookhaven restaurant (Verde).
Sponsored by Explore Brookhaven.

10. Contact with the winners

Once the winners are determined, the Jorge Marín Foundation and the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta will make the announcement
on their Instagram accounts, and a representative from these accounts will contact individuals via private message and request the necessary
data for the delivery of the prize.
Winners will have five business days from the date of the notification message to respond to or acknowledge the ad. If there is no response
from the winners, their entry will be withdrawn, and a new winner will be selected.
* It is the responsibility of the first-place winner to have all appropriate travel documents and visas required for international travel. The
first-place winner(s) will cover airport taxes and other fees related to travel.
* Restrictions - Blackout dates:
Easter weekend, official holidays in Mexico, Christmas and New Year, Formula 1, Virgen de Guadalupe Celebrations and Day of the Dead
Celebrations.
Tips are not included as well as anything not previously established.

11. Prize
Winners will receive the prizes indicated in point 9. There is no option to exchange the mentioned prizes for cash or an item of different
value.
The prize will be delivered to the winners during the days following the closing of the contest and will be sent by mail or delivered in person.
LIMIT: One (1) prize per person or household.

12. Acceptance of the rules

By participating in the contest, each participant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these rules, and the
decisions of the sponsors, and/or the administrators whose decisions shall be final and legally binding in all respects and not subject to
further review in any forum.

Reglas y condiciones del concurso de Instagram

1. Organizadores
Fundación Jorge Marín en colaboración con el Consulado General de México en Atlanta.

2. Objetivos
• Promover el corredor cultural de Buford Highway de Brookhaven como un espacio público de convivencia.
• Activar la interacción entre la comunidad local, migrantes y visitantes.
• Invitar al público a visitar el área para que interactúe con las obras de Jorge Marín.
• Incentivar la reflexión en torno a los conceptos de libertad y movimiento.

3. Participantes y Reglas
• Cualquier persona mayor de 18 años que disponga de una cuenta de Instagram puede participar de forma gratuita y voluntaria.
• El participante solo podrá concursar con una fotografía.
• El participante debe ser el autor de la fotografía y acepta ceder todos los derechos de autor de la imagen a los organizadores al momento
de participar.
• El participante se hace responsable por cualquier reclamación que por derechos de imagen pudiera formularse y, además, debe cerciorarse
de que no existan derechos de terceros sobre la fotografía en concurso.
• El participante cede a la Fundación Jorge Marín, a la Ciudad de Brookhaven y al Consulado General de México en Atlanta los derechos
de la imagen para su uso en lo relacionado con este concurso.
• La fotografía no debe mostrar símbolos ofensivos que denigren a las minorías o signos que hayan pertenecido a grupos de represión
religioso, político-social.
• En la fotografía no deben aparecer desnudos, ni se deben infringir las restricciones que establece la red social Instagram.
• Los empleados de los patrocinadores, organizadores y/o de la Ciudad de Brookhaven, así como sus familiares directos no son elegibles
para participar.

• Los participantes no deben escalar, alterar, desfigurar o dañar de ninguna manera las esculturas durante el proceso de toma de fotografías
para el concurso.

4. Fechas
Aceptaremos fotografías solamente del 1º de febrero al 31 de marzo de 2023.

5. Comunicación del concurso

Los requisitos y reglas de participación se publicarán a través de las siguientes cuentas de Instagram: @jorgemarinmx, @fundacionjorgemarin,
@consulmex_atlanta y @brookhavengagov.

6. Proceso para participar

• Sigue las cuentas de Instagram: @jorgemarinmx, @fundacionjorgemarin, @consulmex_atlanta, @brookhavengagov, @explorebrookhaven
y @vivatequilafestival.
• Tómate una foto en una de las nueve obras de la exposición Wings of the city en Brookhaven.
• En el pie de foto, escribe una palabra, frase o cita de lo que significa para ti la escultura.
• Etiqueta a @jorgemarinmx, @fundacionjorgemarin, @consulmex_atlanta, @brookhavengagov, @explorebrookhaven y @vivatequilafestival.
• Publica la imagen en tu feed de Instagram (no en las historias) usando el hashtag #wingsofthecityBrookhaven y/o #alasdelaciudadBrookhaven.

7. Ganadores
• Las tres fotografías ganadoras (primer, segundo, tercer lugar) serán seleccionadas por el mayor número de likes que obtenga la imagen
en concurso (Hasta la medianoche del 31 de marzo, 2023).

8. Resultados
• El concurso será monitoreado por la Fundación Jorge Marín.
• El día 5 de abril de 2023, la Fundación Jorge Marín, el Consulado de México en Atlanta, la Ciudad de Brookhaven y Explore Brookhaven
publicarán a los ganadores en sus respectivas cuentas de redes sociales.

9. Premios

Primer lugar:
• Litografía Treinta y cinco, 2017, 56 x 38 cm
• Un viaje a México para dos personas y una visita al Estudio Jorge Marín:
– Dos certificados de vuelo redondo Atlanta – Ciudad de México cortesía de Delta Air Lines
– Transporte desde y hacia el aeropuerto
– Estadía de dos noches y tres días en el Galería Plaza Hotel de la Ciudad de México en una
habitación doble con desayuno incluido cortesía de Viva Tequila Festival
– Un tour privado por la Ciudad de México operado por Mexitours
– Transporte ida y vuelta desde el hotel hacia el Estudio Jorge Marín

Segundo lugar:
• Litografía Hombre de pie, 2006, 47 x 32 cm
• Tarjeta de regalo por $100 del restaurante de Brookhaven Pure Taqueria,
patrocinada por Explore Brookhaven

Tercer lugar:
• Litografía Hombre Círculo, 2018, 29.5 x 21.5 cm
• Tarjeta de regalo de $75 del restaurante Verde,
patrocinada por Explore Brookhaven

10. Contacto con los ganadores

Una vez determinados los ganadores, la Fundación Jorge Marín y el Consulado General de México en Atlanta harán el anuncio en sus
cuentas de Instagram, y un representante de estas cuentas se pondrá en contacto con las personas por mensaje privado y solicitará los datos
necesarios para la entrega del premio.
* Es responsabilidad del ganador del primer lugar tener los documentos y visas requeridas para el viaje internacional. El ganador del primer
lugar será responsable de cubrir los impuestos aeroportuarios y cargos relacionados con el viaje.
*Restricciones: (blackout dates)
Semana santa, días festivos oficiales en México, Navidad y Año Nuevo, Formula 1, Festejos de la Virgen de Guadalupe y Celebraciones de
Día de Muertos.
*Propinas no están incluidas, al igual que nada que no haya sido previamente establecido.

11. Entrega de premios

Los ganadores recibirán los premios indicados en el punto 9. No existe la opción de canjear los premios mencionados por dinero en efectivo
o un artículo de valor diferente.
El premio se entregará a los ganadores durante los días siguientes al cierre del concurso y será enviado por correo o entregado de manera
presencial.
LIMITADO a un (1) premio por persona o familia.

12. Aceptación de las reglas

Al participar en este concurso, cada participante acepta incondicionalmente acatar estas reglas y las decisiones de los patrocinadores y
administradores, las cuales serán definitivas, inapelables, legalmente vinculantes y no serán sujetas a revisión adicional ante cualquier
instancia.
