CLC 12 – Capstone Citation Exercise:

For this in class activity, you will need to cite a total of nine different common sources of
information using APA style.
I suggest that you use Oregon School Library Information System (OSLIS) to help create your
citations. (If you have a citation extension on your personal computer you are welcome to use it
for this activity.)
To get to the OSLIS citation generator, go to their website at: https://oslis.org/ and choose
“Secondary”

Once you have chosen “Secondary”, click on the section called “Cite My Sources”.

After you click on “Cite My Sources” it will ask you if you’d like to cite your sources using MLA
or APA style. Choose APA (American Psychological Association) style.
Once you are in the APA Citation Maker, you will need to cite three different sources from
each of the following Source Types that relate to your Capstone project topic.

❑ Webpage or Blog Post

❑ Video Recording
❑ Social Media
*You can access the Source Types in the menu on the right-hand side of the webpage. *

Follow the prompts and directions for each type of source citation. When done, click the Green
“Create Citation Below” button to see your APA citation.
Note: Once all three citations are complete, remember to copy and paste them before moving
on to the next Source Type.
