To mount the RMD in an ANSI or DIN cutout:


1. Fit the RMD into the cutout.
2. Insert each screw in a drilled hole near the corners of the mounting surface (no
drilled holes required in a DIN 96 cutout).
3. Thread each screw in its corresponding metal insert located on the four corners
of the RMD backside.
4. With a #2 Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screws to 1.35Nm or 1 ft • Lbf
(maximum).

Mounting the RMD on a Flat Panel


With only 5 small holes, the RMD can be mounted on a flat panel. The hole pattern
required to mount the RMD to a flat panel is shown on the diagram below. This
diagram shows the hole pattern in actual size, and can be used as a template for
drilling the holes.

Connecting the Remote Modular Display


The RMD connects to the TRAN with a 26 gauge 6 conductor RJ11-type cable. The
cable connects between the RJ11 socket on the backside of the RMD, and the RJ11
socket on the side of the TRAN.

CAUTION: Only use the supplied cable to connect the remote display unit.

To connect the RMD and the TRAN meter:


1. Slide the RJ11 connector into the RJ11 port at the back of the RMD (the RJ11
connector locking tab faces outwards).
2. Thread the free end of the cable through the recessed channel.

3. Take the free end of the cable and slide its RJ11 connector into the RJ11 port on
the side of the TRAN (the RJ11 connector locking tab faces outwards).
