Early Life

Jennifer Joanna Aniston was born on

February 11, 1969, in Sherman Oaks,
California. The daughter of soap opera star John Aniston and actress Nancy
Dow, Aniston began appearing in theatre plays in the late 1980s. She
studied in Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and
Performing Arts in New York City, where she learned how to act. Aniston
had a few small roles before getting her most famous role on the NBC
sitcom Friends as Rachel Green.

'Friends'

Friends was a huge success. The series is about six friends in New York
City, and it premiered in 1994 and it’s one of the most-watched shows on
television. She played Rachel Green, a funny spoiled waitress. Rachel’s
relationship with Ross Geller (played
by David Schwimmer) became one of the
show’s more popular story lines. It was so
popular that many woman cut their hair
like Jennifer’s hairstyle on the show.

Anniston stayed with Friends for 10 years.

Aniston married actor Brad Pitt in 2000. The A-list couple divorced in
2005 because there were speculation that Pitt had an affair with co-
star Angelina Jolie. After that, Aniston went out with her The Break-Up co-
star Vince Vaughn, musician John Mayer and SNL cast member Jason
Sudeikis.
In August 2012, Aniston announced her engagement to American actor and
director Justin Theroux. In August 2015, they married in a secret, private
ceremony at their home in Bel Air. In February 2018, the couple
announced that they broke up.
