THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY,

Fully alarmed by the discrimination and xenophobia that immigrants face mostly in
migration-receiving areas,

Underlining the importance and positive impact of providing immigrants job opportunities
equally on the economy of the host country,

Deeply convinced that immigrants’ international protection needs should be provided by the
concerned government regardless of immigrants’ migration status,

Reaffirming the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, which suggests that all
individuals have the right to have their fundamental needs covered regardless of their race and
financial situation, A comma is placed at the end of
each preambulatory clause.
1. Encourages the Member States to put the appropriate systems in place in order to
ensure the welfare of immigrant children by means of providing them equal education
opportunities as well as psychological support for their healthy adaptation to their
country of destination; A semi-colon is placed at the end of each operative clause.

2. Recognizes the contribution of the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees) in the process of protection and integration of immigrants to their host
countries; The full names of abbreviations should be stated at least once throughout the document.

3. Invites all States to take appropriate actions in order to preclude the violation of
immigrants’ human rights, eliminate any kind of violence or discrimination they are
facing and accelerate their reintegration process with measures such as but not limited
to:
a) training all government officials thereupon via obligatory seminars
b) sustaining regular medical examinations which are free of charge to immigrants
for 6 months following their arrival

If the main body is succeeded by a sub-clause, a

colon is placed at the end of the main body. (The
same applies to when a sub-clause is succeeded
by a sub-sub-clause.)
c) providing immigrants night schools and job training as well as guidance about
their rights and the job application procedure which will:
i. aim to help immigrants’ social integration and ensure their self-dependence
ii. be certificated and will be deemed as valid documents for their recruitment;
4. Urges the Member States to ensure the proper enforcement of their labor laws, given
their commonness, particularly focusing on the underqualified working conditions and
underpayment of immigrants via regular inspections on companies;
5. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
A period is placed at the end of
the resolution.
In their resolution-writing process, delegates are expected to abide by the format this very sample
has. Resolutions should be written in Times New Roman pt. 12 with 1.5 line spacing. Each
document must include at least 4 preambulatory clauses and 7 operative clauses. Preambulatory
phrases should be typed in italic and operative phrases must be underlined. A clause cannot have
one sub-clause, if that is the case, the sub-clause needs to be merged with the main body. Sub-sub-
sub-clauses are not allowed in KMUN2021. United Nations Development Programme and General
Assembly committees are not allowed to condemn or demand an action while the Security Council
is eligible to urge, demand, authorize or condemn an action.
