lease accept this letter expressing my interest in the general music educator position. I
P
believe that I would be an excellent fit for this position, as I am a very dedicated and
well-trained musician, born with a passion to teach and inspire. I have always believed
that music is an unstoppable force of nature that everyone deserves the chance to love
and create. My hope is to, if given the opportunity, work with students in a fun, healthy,
productive, and beneficial way that will provide them with the most efficient set of tools
to allow them to express themselves through music. I will help students to understand
the fundamentals of musical interpretation and expression and make sure that they
achieve all the goals they aspire to achieve, while still maintaining a steady pace in
alignment with Virginia’s SOL and NAfME’s Standards for Music Education. There has
always been and always will be a time and place for music, and I believe in the idea that
school has a time and place for music, so I want to do everything that I can to provide a
safe space for music.
I, as a music educator, will be as supportive and helpful to all students as possible,
never letting them fall short of their dreams and aspirations. While being a music
educator in such a diverse society that can and will present itself with a plethora of
challenges, I will never stop striving to benefit the students before anything else. I will
work tirelessly to help any and every student that enters my class. Music education
goes beyond playing an instrument, as it taps into a special and very unique part of the
brain that connects to each of us differently. Music also connects to us spiritually and is
vital for a healthy, creative, and balanced lifestyle.
