Power System Load Flow Analysis Lab

This document provides instructions for an electrical engineering laboratory assignment on power system analysis. Students are asked to use load flow methods like Gauss-Seidel, Newton-Raphson, and fast decoupled to solve 3-bus and 26-bus network examples. Tables of load data, shunt capacitors, transformer taps, and line/transformer parameters are provided for the 26-bus network. Students must demonstrate the distinctions between the load flow methods and submit a full laboratory report.

Laboratory 1

Using the 3-bus network examples worked in class to solve for the loadflow
specified parameters given the Gauss-Seidel and Newton-Raphson methods,
demonstrate the distinctions amongst the Gauss-Seidel, Newton-Raphson
and fast decoupled methods using any available loadflow package to solve for
those aforementioned 3-bus networks. In addition, use the 26-bus network
provided in Fig.1 to also demonstrate the above mentioned distinctions. The
corresponding data for the 26-bus network is shown is tables 1, 2, 3 and 4.
