Melissa wants a puppy. Melissa and her dad


go to the animal shelter to pick out a puppy.
There is one little puppy hiding in the corner.
She has long blonde hair and brown eyes. She
looks scared and nervous. Melissa puts her
hand out and the puppy comes to her. She
curls right up next to her so Melissa can pet

her home and Melissa decides to name her
Missy. Missy likes her new home. She has her
own bed in Melissa’s room. Melissa takes her dog for long walks every
day.
