It is my pleasure to recommend Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Saqib Mushtaq for his

suitability as a strong candidate at your reputable institution. am delighted to write this
letter of recommendation to one of my best students, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Saqib
Mushtaq, who I have known Dr. Mushtaq in the capacity of a hardworking student and a
brilliant researcher since 2015, when he started his Ph.D. completed his Ph.D. degree
under my supervision in March 2022. I know him since 2015 when he got admission as a
Ph.D. student and joined my laboratory at Acarology Research lab., College of Food and
Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Throughout
his academic career, he proved himself an intellectual, honest, and hardworking student,
who performed very well both in coursework and research work. He successfully
defended his Ph.D. in March, 2022 and his research findings made a positive impact on
the scientific community. He groomed himself as an innovative scholar by learning and
following research ethics, communication skills, generating new ideas, ability to address
scientific problems, and scientific writing skills. He developed an excellent understanding
of the various fields of Entomology/Acarology.
During his research and academic journey at King Saud University, He he
actively participated in different scientific activities. He has an efficient understanding of
conducting and analyzing different bio-ecological studies related to both pest and
beneficial insects and mites. He attended international conferences where he presented
his research outcomes. Being involved in different research projects, Dr. Mushtaq has
developed skills and gained experiences which made him a candidate of choice in his
field. He also assisted in teaching the undergraduate students in the department of plant
protection. While working in the Acarology Research Lab, he published four quality
research articles in ISI ranked high quality journals, two of which were from his
dissertation. has also been working as a Researcher at the department of plant protection,
college of food and agricultural sciences, KSU, since April 2015. During his seven years
stay at KSU as a Researcher, he was continuously involved in various research activities
related to ecology, biology, behavior, taxonomy, applied biological control, and
molecular aspects of entomology/acarology, either performed in the laboratory or the
field. Under the supervision of his professors, he has established and coordinated a
Biological Control R&D Laboratory for the plant protection department, since 2017. He
has been involved actively in writing research proposals and working on different
research projects as a Research Associate/Project Coordinator. I found him a productive
scientist with excellent leadership and team management skills.
As his supervisor and a person close to him, In conclusion, I would highly
recommend Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Saqib Mushtaq for the post he has applied for. As he
proved himself an excellent student and an innovative researcher in my laboratory, I
