Cannot login to the windows server 2019 using

RDP and locally


I'm using Microsoft Windows server 2019 and currently and i cannot logon to the server using RDP
also when i tried to login locally i noticed that the login screen won't show up and stay black (i
waited for more than 1 hour) , i restarted the server using restart button several times and i tried to
repair windows using common commands like sfc /scannow but still i have the same problem . Can
someone help me please ?

Regarding the inability to use RDP and local login to Windows Server 2019, If local login is not
successful, remote RDP is not possible. Please resolve the local machine issue first.
And here are some steps you can try:
1. Check if the Remote Desktop Services (RDS) is running: You can open the Services console
(services.msc) and check if the Remote Desktop Services and Remote Desktop Configuration
services are running. If they are not, start them and then try to connect again.
2. Install any pending updates: Make sure that your server has the latest patches and updates
installed. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
3. Check for errors in the Event Viewer: Open the Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc) and look for any
errors or warnings related to the login process. This may provide you with clues about the cause of
the issue.
