Jobless
Unemployment is a term for people who do not work at all, are looking for work, or someone who is trying to get a decent job. Unemployment
is usually caused because the number of the workforce or job seekers is not proportional to the number of jobs available. Unemployment is
often a problem in the economy, because with unemployment, people's productivity and income will decrease, which can cause poverty and
other social problems.
The unemployment rate can be calculated by comparing the number of unemployed with the total workforce expressed as a percentage. The
absence of income causes the unemployed to reduce their consumption expenditure, which causes a decrease in the level of prosperity and
welfare. Prolonged unemployment can also have negative psychological effects on the unemployed and their families. An unemployment rate
that is too high can also cause political, security and social chaos, thus disrupting economic growth and development. The long-term
consequence is a decline in a country's GNP and per capita income.
1. Laziness factor
c. The workforce cannot meet the requirements demanded by the world of work
f. Application of rationalization
This is the biggest influence in today's world of work, lack of information can be the most influential factor, this is due to the condition of the
living environment which makes it impossible to continuously update information about job vacancies.
The government's efforts to reduce the unemployment rate include training to increase community capacity, increasing productivity through
entrepreneurial assistance, improving access, quality and relevance of vocational education and training, as well as collaborating with the
International Labor Organization (ILO) to monitor industrial relations.
