Post Description
Pay Scale Pay Scale in Level-10 of Pay Matrix Rs.56100-77500/- (Pre-revised pay scale Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3) plus GP 5400/-)
Age Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for
them. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancy
reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/
orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants,

(A) Degree in Textile Processing or Textile Chemistry or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Textile
Processing or Textile Chemistry from a recognised University or Institute
OR
Post Diploma in Textile Chemistry or Textile Processing from a recognised University or Institute
(B) EXPERIENCE
Three years experience as a Lecturer in Textile Chemistry/ Bleaching/ Dyeing/ Printing/ Finishing in a recognised Institute or
as a Shift-in-charge in a dye house/ textile mill in wet processing/ finishing/ bleaching of textiles.
Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates
otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in
writing, in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the UPSC is of the opinion that
sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill
up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s) Master of Technology in Textile Processing or Textile Chemistry from a recognised University or Institute.
Duty(ies) 1. Handling lecturers both theory and practical in the subjects of Textile Chemistry for the Diploma Course.
2. To be overall in-charge of Chemical and processing Section of the Institute, as and when required.
3. To guide students in Project work.
Other Details General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). The post is permanent.
