(i) Write an equation to represent this information. 5x-8=22
(ii) Solve your equation in (i) to determine the number I was
thinking of. x=6
6. (b) A rectangle has length (2x+1)cm and width 3cm. It’s area
is 45cm2. Form an equation and solve it to calculate x.
3(2x +1)=45
