 CHAKRAS
The word ‘chakra’ comes from the ancient Indian Sanskrit language and literally means
‘wheel’.

Throughout many Eastern wellness practices (such as yoga and pranic-energy healing), it
is accepted that the human body holds certain high-vibrational energy points. These
energy centers exist as spinning wheels of prana (meaning ‘energy’ or ‘life-force’).

The body’s main chakras are connected to the spine and radiate out through the
energetic body (or aura) as spinning ‘cones’ of energy. These chakras spin continuously,
funneling energy throughout the body and energy field.

APPEARANCE

Clear Quartz ranges from milky-white to crystal-clear. In terms of quality and

vibration, the clearer the stone, the higher the vibration. Quartz naturally forms in
pointed crystals and clusters, and is also commonly found in round, tumbled form.

HEALING

Clear Quartz is the most powerful and popular healing stone in crystal healing.
Because of its unique crystalline structure, it is very versatile and high-vibrational,
with the ability to bring light, healing and cleansing on all levels.
In addition, it is a powerful manifestation stone and works to enhance clarity, vision,
protection from environmental pollution, realization of one’s dreams, distance
healing, amplified energy, spiritual growth, and can also be programmed for your

Amethyst ranges from deep, opaque purple to transparent violet. In terms of quality
and vibration, the clearer the stone, the higher the vibration. Amethyst comes in a

HEALING

Amethyst is a stone of spirituality, higher awareness and the New Age. It is used to
support sleep, alleviate depression and insomnia, enhance meditation, develop
psychic awareness, cleanse the blood, support physical health and promote
spiritual wisdom. It can also help with overcoming addiction and dependency.
It is one of the most popular stones used by clairvoyants and those working on the
higher levels of consciousness. Amethyst also protects against negative and psychic
attack from outside influences.

Citrine ranges from heat-treated dark orange to natural transparent lemon. In

terms of quality and vibration, the clearer the stone, the higher the vibration. Citrine
comes in a range of formations from natural points to round tumbled stones.

HEALING

Citrine is a stone of positivity, inspiration and light. It is used to alleviate depression,

addiction, laziness and lack of self-confidence. Citrine brings creativity, motivation,
healing, cleansing, self-esteem, inner strength and can also cleanse other crystals.
It is a powerful regenerator and stimulates all the organs in the lower chakras,
including pancreas, spleen and digestive organs. It holds no negative energy and
repels all darkness and despair, making it a top choice for those suffering with
anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and negative programming.

Blue Kyanite ranges from a common, opaque blue stick-form, to a rarer, deep
sapphire blue gem-form. Kyanite sticks in their common form are often called
'blades'.

HEALING

Blue Kyanite is excellent for all spiritual pursuits. It helps us connect to the the spirit
world, enhances meditation, brings higher wisdom and develops psychic ability and
intuition. It aligns, cleanses and balances all the chakras, helps with spine disorders
and assists with overcoming fear.
At the throat, kyanite encourages truth, integrity, communication and self-
expression.

USES

APPEARANCE

Rose quartz is a pale pink stone, most commonly found in smooth, tumbled form or
in rough, irregular shaped ‘chunks’. Ranges from opaque to slightly translucent.

HEALING

Rose quartz is a gentle, yet powerful heart-healer. It comforts, heals, soothes,

nurtures and loves. It opens the heart and treats emotional pain and grief while
promoting self-acceptance, self-love and emotional release. This makes it a top
choice for those who have lost a loved one, or who are experiencing heartbreak and
emotional pain. Rose quartz connects people and reminds us that we are capable of
giving and receiving love in giant proportions.
Physically, Rose Quartz treats the heart and circulatory systems. Rose Quartz can
also be good for the skin and for headaches.

USES

Use at Heart or Higher Heart chakras to help heal emotional pain

Massage into the temples and face to relieve headache and tension

 CARNELIAN

APPEARANCE

Carnelian is a stone in the Agate family, and ranges from translucent orange to red.
It occasionally has ‘banding’ marks through it, which is typical for agates, and is
available in tumbled stones, jewelry and wands.

HEALING

Carnelian is a powerful cleansing stone which works on the lower chakras. It helps
to eliminate toxins from the body, unblock a sluggish digestive system, increase
metabolism and enhance libido.
It grounds, but at the same time increases vitality and energy as it is full of life-force.
It was used in ancient Egyptian times to protect the dead on their journey into the
afterlife and is also a stone that attunes to the female reproductive organs,
promoting fertility. Carnelian is a true power-stone for releasing blocked trauma
and energy from the body.

USES

Use at the Sacral & Root chakra for cleansing & detoxification
Place on the reproductive organs for sexual health & to increase libido
Use at the Root chakra for increased energy & physical vitality

 BLOODSTONE

APPEARANCE

Blood stone can be tricky to identify as it is a stone that ranges in color from very
dark green (almost black) through to red. Many Bloodstones are dark green with
red flecks and markings, however some Bloodstones are all red or all green.

HEALING

Bloodstone is an excellent blood purifier (hence the name!). It assists with physical
and energetic detoxification and stimulates the immune and circulatory systems.
It cleanses and realigns the lower chakras. Emotionally, Bloodstone helps to ground
and balance the heart energies. This stone is a must-have stone for the lower
Chakras because of its excellent grounding and cleansing abilities.

USES

Use at the Root chakra to release blocked energy

Use at the Root chakra for cleansing & detoxification
Place at the feet or carry with you for grounding & support
Use in combination with 'lighter' stones on higher chakras for release and
cleansing.

APPEARANCE

Hematite is a popular choice in beaded jewelry. It is a metallic, silvery-grey color and

can be easily identified by because it is very heavy when compared to other stones
of the same size. It is commonly found in tumbled or cabochon form.

HEALING

Hematite is very effective at grounding and protecting.

It has natural magnetic properties, making it good for pain relief and healing,
especially for those with joint and body pain. Hematite helps to bring focus,
grounding, mental clarity and concentration, while also cleansing the blood and
circulatory systems . Because of its magnetic qualities and molecular density,
Hematite is the most powerful grounding stone because it draws the energy
earthwards most effectively.

USES

Use on your work desk, or press against your forehead for focus
Use at the Earth Star chakra for grounding and stability
Use at the Root chakra for drawing blocked energy out of the body
Place anywhere on the body for relieving arthritic pain

 SMOKY QUARTZ

APPEARANCE

Smoky Quartz naturally forms in pointed crystals and can range in color from
opaque dark brown, to a light, transparent, honey-color. It is also commonly found
in tumbled and shaped forms.

HEALING

Smoky quartz grounds and raises the energetic vibration simultaneously.

It is excellent for protection against psychic and emotional attack, electromagnetic
pollution, depression, negativity and stress. It can help us to overcome fear of failure
and benefits the physical body. Smoky quartz can be safely used on chemotherapy
patients to aid in recovery and regeneration of cells. Because it holds both light and
grounding energy, it is a top choice for using on those with depression when other
grounding stones might be too energetically 'heavy'.

USES

 SELENITE

APPEARANCE

Selenite forms in long, flaky white ‘sticks’, which have a silvery sheen. It is
commonly found in this natural form (in a wide range of sizes), however it also
comes in tumbled stones too. Because of its high salt content, it is extremely porous
and fragile, so is not suitable for jewelry or getting wet.

HEALING

Selenite is a very high-vibration stone for. It opens the higher chakras to the
spiritual and angelic realms, and helps develop spirituality, wisdom and visionary
ability. Its purity makes it effective for cleansing spaces and creating protective
shields around objects or people to repel all negative energy and remove dark
entities. Selenite is a stone for peace, alignment, meditation, understanding one’s
purpose and highest intention. It holds no darkness and embodies purity.
