II. Session Outline
Session Title: “Peace Wanted Alive”
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Define positive pace;
b) Learn and understand the different pillars of positive peace;
and
c) value the importance of positive peace in their daily lives.
Key Concepts:  Peace is a stress-free state of security and calmness that comes
when there’s no fighting or war, everything coexisting in perfect
harmony and freedom.
 Positive peace, on the other hand, is more than just the
absence of violence. It’s a state of harmony and well-being.
Positive peace includes things like respect, justice, and
equality. It’s about more than just avoiding conflict; it’s about
creating a peaceful environment where everyone can thrive.
 Positive Peace represents an ambitious and forward looking
conceptualization of peace that moves beyond conflict and
violence. It creates better economic and societal outcomes, as
well as lessening the number of grievances and the levels of
violence associated with them.
 Active participation in peace-building activities is essential for
learners to internalize and apply it as a critical social skill in
their daily lives.
III. Teaching Strategies

Activity: Visualizing Peace
Materials: a short cinematic video
 Introduce the topic.
 The students will watch the short cinematic video
about peace.
A. Introduction
10 mins  Ask, “What did you feel after watching the video?”
and Warm-Up
 Share experiences related to peace in the context
of the video.
 Summarize key points. Note on the board. Stress
the importance of peace in building relationships
and creating supportive communities.
Activity: Exploring Positive Peace
Materials: a PowerPoint presentation
 Arrange the students accordingly ensuring that
equal opportunity will be given to the diverse

Activity: Expressing Positive Peace: Our Journey
Materials: Journals, writing tools, coloring materials,
cellphones for digital entries, bond paper.
 Explain the task: Creatively express thoughts on
positive peace.
Journal Writing 15 mins  Allow time to write, draw, or record thoughts.
 Sharing Option: Offer learners the chance to share
reflections.
 Conclude by emphasizing the critical role of
understanding positive peace for positive social
interactions and relationships.
