NATU ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Natu Elementary School is set to conduct the School In-Service Training (INSET) as a
basis of all learning and development in the teaching – learning process for teachers to ensure
that they are equipped in delivering the quality education.
The LAC session was started by an orientation of the flow of 5 day training conducted
by Mrs. Mylene Abaja. The topics of this LAC sessions focused on SIP, SBM and ELLN which
are already known by the teachers but some parts are need to be clarified.
For the first day, Technical Assistance of SIP is the first topic was discussed
by Mrs. Crispa C. Roallos ,Principal I of Natu Elementary School, she gave some insights of
School Improvement Plan which set as a roadmap that lays down specific interventions that a
school, with the help of the community and other stakeholders will undertake within a period of
three consecutive school years. The implementation of development activities integral to it are in
the school such as project under the Continuous Improvement Project. She gave technical
assistance to the queries of the teachers regarding the SIP. Second topic for this day is the
alignment of SIP to DEDP which was tackled by Mam Ella Castillo, She gave some points to
remember of about the topic.
For the second day, the teachers of Natu Elementary School led the MOL for the
opening Program of Day 2 Inset.
There was a Roll call of participants in which the SBM change its name by different ng school,
It was followed by an Energizer in which the mental abilities of the teachers were challenged by
guessing the name of the provinces based on the pictures and symbol. After this, we proceed to
the part II of the session,in which the speaker Maam Mylene Abaja SH ng San Carlos ES clearly
discussed the about Session 2 – The Revised SBM Assessment Process
She cited terminal objective:
Demonstrate SBM assessment process through simulation.

Another speaker was Mam Ella Castillo, SH of Tiquiwan ES,discussed well her topic
Session 3 – The Revised School – Based Management (SBM) Tool.
Terminal Objective: At the end of the session, participants shall be able to utilize the
Revised SBM Assessment Tool.

Recognition and Incentives will be receive by the school in Advanced Level such as
scholarship, high PBB, and will be recognize in Gawad Balisong
Mam Mylene at Mam Ella mentioned that whether small school, medium school, o large
school, are in the same Level 2 – Maturing, because we are afraid to be in Advance
level where in we might be visit bythose who are in higher positions.
After this session, there was a break for the participants to relax. It was followed by a
simulation on conducting of proper DOD of SBM in which every school participated.
The simulation of every school, there was assigned critic to evaluate the conducted
simulation.
After simulation of each school , technical assistance were given by Mam Mylene and
Maam Ella.

For the third day session, February 8, 2023, ELLN was discussed by Maam
Mylene Abaja of San Carlos Elementary School, she gave some points to remember
of what should be in ELLN such as bench marking of best practices of other school
on how reading and numeracy level of poor learner will be improved.
For the fourth day session, February 9, 2023, Natu Elementary School Teaching
Staff joined and attended the meeting thru online / virtual meeting in their school
using Google Meet. Maam Maxima Reata, Maam Jocelyn M. Bianzon, Maam Belen
Reyes, and Maam Myrna A. Rosales discussed their respective topics about SBM –
School – Based Management System.
For the fifth day / last day session, February 10, 2023, Natu ES teachers with the
help of their School Head, made outputs related on what they learned in the INSET.
They edited and revised their school project proposal, PPA’s, and started their SBM
using SBM Tool Guide. They conducted Focus Group Discussions / FGD about their
assigned projects on their SIP – School Improvement Plan.
