On my honor I will do my best

why resign your position

If you work for a man but when you are on the outside

In heaven name, work for him, Damn to your heart’s content.

Speak well of him,

But as long as you are part of the institution
And stand by the institution that he represents.
do not condemn it
Remember, an ounce of loyalty
he's worth a pound of cleverness for if you do

if you must growl condemn the first high wind that comes along
will blow you away
and probably you will never know why.
