I am writing to express my opinion on the dangers of driving under influence of alcohol or

drugs. It horrified me when the leading cause of 20 people die everyday is drinking while unconsious.
The number of such cases is surging and does ring an alarming bell. I urge you to consider three
important reasons why avoiding this practice is crucial:

Consuming excess alcohol can impair your vision. This is particularly dangerous when driving,
especially at night. Without being able to see the road in front of you, read signs, or recognise traffic
lights, getting into an accident is much more likely.

Driving while intoxicated is not only dangerous but also against the law. If caught, we could face
severe penalties, including fines, license suspension, or even jail time. These legal repercussions can
have long-lasting effects on our lives, including our reputation and future opportunities. Let's avoid
putting ourselves in such risky situations by planning ahead and arranging for alternative
transportation when we know we'll be drinking.

When you drink and drive you’re much more likely to get into a road accident for all of the above
reasons, putting you and other innocent drivers at risk. This is why drinking and driving is a serious
offense in Vietnam. In which, your license will be immediately suspended, you could have to pay
thousands of VND in fines, and you could even serve a prison term.

In conclusion, let's be mindful of the impact of our actions on ourselves and others. By
refraining from driving after drinking, we can contribute to a safer and more responsible community.
Let's choose safety, responsibility, and consideration for others every time we raise a glass.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this important matter.
I hope this letter finds you well. Today, I am reaching out to you not only as a friend but also
as someone who cares deeply about the safety and welfare of our community. This topic is of great
importance to me, and I kindly ask you to take a moment to contemplate the seriousness of what I'm
about to discuss.

When you’re intoxicated, your coordination becomes impaired, as does your reaction time.
This is a dangerous combination while driving. When you’re moving at high speed, you need to be
able to identify a potential hazard and react simultaneously.

When you drink and drive there can be a decent lag between seeing the hazard, recognising that it is
a hazard, and reacting to the hazard. Even if you do react in time, you’re more likely to miss the
brakes or let go of the wheel because of poor coordination. This is a recipe for road accidents.

Driving under the influence is not just hazardous but also illegal. If apprehended, we may encounter
serious consequences such as hefty fines, license suspension, or potentially even incarceration.
These legal ramifications could significantly impact our lives, affecting our reputation and limiting
future opportunities. This is why drinking and driving is a serious offense in Vietnam. In which, your
license will be immediately suspended, you could have to pay thousands of VND in fines, and you
could even serve a prison term.

In summary, let's remain conscious of how our actions affect both ourselves and those
around us. By abstaining from driving after consuming alcohol, we can play a part in fostering a safer
and more accountable community. Let's prioritize safety, responsibility, and empathy for others each
time we choose to drink. Thank you for considering this crucial issue.
