QUESTION:
Summarize the note of definition and conceptualization of Basic Principles
Of Structural Design.

ANSWER:
 STRUCTURE: In architecture the term structures gives form, stability and shape to
Architectural design. Basically architectural design cannot stand or have a shape
Without structure.

Architects must be able to know the difference between the

architectural design and structure design examples:
 Live load
 Dead load
 Wind load
 earthquake load

1. Live load: This are variable that can be moved from one
place to another on a structure.
2. Dead load: This are static forces that are relatively
constant.
3. Wind load: This are forces arising from the impact of the
wind.
4. Earthquake load: This are forces affected by earthquakes.

PRIMARY DESIGN LOAD:

Design load: Building are subjected to Gravitational load, Wind
load and Initially load caused by seismic activity
To perform satisfactorily a structure must be capable of
achieving a stable state of static equilibrium in response to all
this load.Structural design analysis ensures that there is
structural stability and and equilibrium in all buildings.
Equilibrium occurs when the reaction and the foundation of a
structure exactly balance and counteract the applied load
otherwise the structure will change its position in response to
the load coming on it.
