1. Find the Fourier series coefficients of the square wave i.e., x(t) = 1 for 0 ≤ t < 1 and
x(t) = −1 for 1 ≤ t < 2 with time period T = 2. Also find the Fourier series for the square
wave x(t) = 1 for 0 ≤ t < 1 and x(t) = 0 for 1 ≤ t < 2 with time period T = 2.

2. Find the Fourier series for a triangular waves with T = 2 as in the previous exercise.

3. Use the CTFS properties to verify the relation between Fourier coefficients obtained in the
previous two exercises.

4. Consider a half wave and full wave rectifier circuit with sinusoidal input of period 2π. Find
the Fourier series of the output waveforms for both the rectifiers.

coefficients ak . Find the CTFS coefficients for the following in terms of ak
