Hacking and types of hackers

Hacking has been around for more than a century. About the year of 1960 the univercity have
a huges mainframes computers and they are the principal point of cyber atacks. Before a
“hacker” was a person whit great skills developing a program. With the pass of the years and
the evolution of the technology have been appeared new types of “hackers” that different
form to do they work. Some types of hackers (but not all) are the black hat hackers, white hat
hackers, Gray Hat hackers and lammer.

The first type are the Black hat hackers, they are like the jockers because they try to breack the
security of they want, doing the life hardest. The black hackers look for the easy way like a
human mistake, vulnerability of the system or a new method to attack. David Pegg write “Karl
Koch is German hacker who became famous in the 1980’s, Karl Koch was involved in the sale of
hacked information from US military computers to the KGB, the main security agency of the
Soviet Union. He was a member of different hacking organizations such as the CCC (Chaos
Computer Club), and worked with individual hackers such as DOB or Dirk-Otto-Brzezinski and
Urmel. He was among the few hackers who got involved in the Cold War computer espionage
incident” . They is an example or a black hat hackers

The second type are the white hat hackers, they are the batman of our Gotham city. They
work is look for vulnerability and fix it. Some of this hackers work for a company I the security
area protect the systems of the black hat hackers. Joel Lee write about a one famous white
hacker who are Steve Wozniak that before to create apple that create something called blue
boxes, a device that could bypass traditional telephone switch mechanisms in order to make
free long-distance calls. Wozniak and Jobs built these boxes together and ended up selling
them to their college classmates.

The third type is the grey hat hackers the play to be the bad and the good guys. They have the
knowledge of a black hacker and break the systems of look for vulnerabilities for later fixed
and get a payment for do it.

The four type of hackers are the lammer they are only a persons who think that he is a hacker
but don`t have the knowledge of logic or know what happen inside of a program for break the
security. This type of hacker don`t are a threat for the systems.

To conclude, exists a lot of type of hackers and maybe if appear new type of technology or
form to hack increase the types and form to attack and with this new technology the people
that have the abilities and the knowledge can use it for the good or for the evil depend of the
viewpoint.
