Explanations for the following ( Geon Woo Baek )
-Theme
The theme “Empowering Tomorrow: Safely Harnessingand Utilizing Sustainable
Energy”, is aimed at educating people to harness the power of nature for a
sustainable amount of time. I think this theme fits Norway well, this is mostly
because Norway during the winter seasons struggles to conserve enough energy
so they have needed to find ways to have enough.-Logo
- Logo
❖
his logo is based on nature and Technology. The red color for the alphabet is
T
symbolized as the norway flag color. it shows the mountains and snow of Norway
-Mascot
❖ "EcoPaws" as your bid's mascot, which represents innovation and expertise in
renewable energy, you're effectively aligning your proposal with Norway's values
and goals. This alignment can enhance the appeal of your bid to Norwegian
stakeholders and decision-makers, fostering support and collaboration for your
sustainable energy initiatives.
-Proposed site
❖ Hovedøya, the island we've picked near Oslo, Norway, may be small, but it has
plenty of room for big projects. Getting to the island will be easy because the ticket
to the World Expo includes transportation there. While we need to clear some trees
for our plans, we'll make sure to keep the island's historical spots safe. We'll mark
them clearly and protect them so that they stay just as they are, even as we make
improvements for the future.
-Theme
❖ The theme “Empowering Tomorrow: Safely Harnessingand Utilizing Sustainable Energy”,
is aimed at educating people to harness the power of nature for a sustainable amount of
time. During a time where global warming has greatly affected communities all over the
world, it’s even more important than ever to find sustainable ways to collect sustainable
energy.
-Logo
❖ For the logo we chose a very simple approach, it shows the mountains and snow of
Norway, and its cultural colors which is a nice touch.
-Mascot
❖ The Mascot “Huffy" we chose for our bid shows a cat/wolf scientist, this cat scientist is a
specialist in renewable and sustainable energy. This mascot serves as an example for the
chance that the world has to improve how it collects and conserves energy, this mascot
is also closely related to the theme of the expo.
-P
roposed site
❖ Hovedøya our proposed site is a small island off the shore of Oslo Norway, it’s able to fit
sites of large sizes, transport to the island can come free with the purchase of the ticket
to the World Expo. The Island only needs to be cleared of its trees, the island also needs
its historic sites cut off and protected.
-The City
❖ O
slo is the perfect place for our expo because it's a city that really cares about using
energy wisely, especially during the cold winters. With our theme “Empowering
Tomorrow: Safely Harnessing and Utilizing Sustainable Energy”,Oslo's smart solutions for
saving energy align well. The city is like a role model for how to live in harmony with
nature. Its cool ideas, like green spaces and eco-friendly buildings, show that it's possible
to be modern and kind to the environment. By hosting the World Expo in Oslo, we can all
learn from the city's experiences and share easy ways to use energy better for a happier
planet.
