Welcome to AMS Promotions!

AMS Promotions is an Australian owned and operated promotional agency.
We have been in the event industry for over 20 years and we pride ourselves on having
the best team throughout Australia.

By providing this guide, we would like to inform new members of the policies and
procedures and to establish the company’s expectations. It is not all-inclusive or
intended to provide strict interpretations of our policies; rather, it offers an overview of
our work policies, goals and core principles.

Hygiene and Grooming Policy
Your personal appearance and hygiene is a reflection on our company’s character.
Contractors are expected to dress neatly and appropriately for their individual work
responsibilities and positions. Please note, for some events the clothing may be supplied
by the client, which need to be kept clean and well taken care of until the end of the
event. Anyone violating this policy may be subject to disciplinary action.

Seven tips to help you on your first day:

1. Clothing must be clean, pressed, in good condition and fit appropriately.

2. Neat and well-groomed hair (no artificial colors e.g. pink, green, etc. that would be
deemed unprofessional).

3. Use deodorant to reduce body odour.

4. Oral hygiene (brushing of teeth).

5. Clean fingernails.

6. Tattoos that may be deemed offensive must be kept covered.

7. Body piercings must be limited.

Personal Conduct
AMS Promotions expects contractors to adhere to a standard of professional
conduct and integrity. This ensures that the work environment is safe, comfortable
and productive. Contractors should be respectful, courteous, confident and mindful
of others’ feelings and needs, and avoid mobile phone usage during working hours.
General cooperation between coworkers and supervisors is expected. Individuals who
act in an unprofessional manner may be subject to disciplinary action.

No Drug/Alcohol Policy
Contractors are prohibited from unlawfully consuming, distributing, possessing, selling,
or using controlled substances while working with AMS Promotions. In addition,
contractors must not be under the influence of any controlled substance, such as
drugs or alcohol, while at work, on clients’ premises or whilst engaged in any company
business. Prescription drugs or over-the-counter medications, taken as prescribed, are
an exception to this policy. Anyone violating this policy may be subject to disciplinary
action.

Punctuality
Contractors are expected to arrive on time and ready for work. A person who arrives after
their scheduled arrival time is considered unprofessional. The company recognises that
situations arise which hinder punctuality; regardless, excessive tardiness is prohibited,
and may be subject to disciplinary action.

Cancelling Shifts

We recommend you carefully check your schedule before applying for available shifts.
After applying for a new shift we put the candidates through to the client and they
choose the applicants for their role, as a result if you applied and got chosen for the shift,
please make sure to show up. No shows or cancelling without enough notice would
put us in a bad spot with the client and make it difficult to find a replacement within a
short time frame! Confirming your availability shows your commitment to the shift, and
we expect contractors to take responsibility and show up on time, to complete the shift
they applied for.”

Being Blacklisted: Failure to follow the previously mentioned steps regarding

cancellations, may result in your information being placed on the promotional
blacklist registry http://www.DoNotHire.com.au/. Your information will be available
for other agencies to see and they will be aware of promotional people who are
unreliable and/or unprofessional. (Also applies to no-shows.)

Shifts involving multiple days: As some of our jobs span over multiple days or
weeks, the client may request the same person for all shifts. If this occurs, you apply
and are selected, you must complete all required days. If unable to commit, please do
not apply.

Q. What happens if I just don’t show up and I don’t inform AMS?

A. If you DO NOT inform us you will be added automatically to the Do Not Hire register
http://www.DoNotHire.com.au/. We understand situations arise that may stop you from
attending a shift, that is why we offer the 3 above options to let us know.
