Laboratory Activity 3.2 Tissues Repair

1. For each of the following statements about tissue repair that is true, enter T in
the answer blank. For each false statement, correct the underlined words by
writing the correct words in the answer blank.

_______________ 1. The nonspecific response of the body to injury is

called regeneration.
_______________ 2. Intact capillaries near an injury dilate, leaking
plasma, blood cells, and antibodies which cause the
blood to clot. The clot at the surface dries to form a
scab.
_______________ 3. During the first phase of tissue repair, capillary buds
invade the clot, forming a delicate pink tissue called
endodermal tissue.
_______________ 4. When damage is not too severe, the surface
epithelium migrates beneath the dry scab and across
the surface of the granulation tissue. This repair
process is called proliferation.
_______________ 5. If tissue damage is very severe, tissue repair is more
likely to occur by fibrosis, or scarring.

_______________ 6. During fibrosis, fibroblasts in the granulation tissue

lay down keratin fibers, which form a strong,
compact, but inflexible mass.
_______________ 7. The repair of cardiac muscle and nervous tissue
occurs only by fibrosis.

Module Feedback Questionnaire

Human Anatomy and Physiology
1st semester, School Year 2020 to 2021

Name of module : _____________________________________________________

Year and Section : _____________________________________________________
Name of Instructor : _____________________________________________________

Student evaluation of modules is used as part of the University's quality assurance

procedures and is intended to inform decisions on program development and the overall
process of monitoring the effectiveness of programs.

The purpose of the student evaluation process is to improve the quality of learning and
teaching. Evaluations are not intended to monitor the individual performance of members of
academic staff, nor to be channels for student complaints, for which other procedures exist.
Module evaluation may be either qualitative or quantitative in emphasis. All modules offered
by a School must be evaluated on every occasion the module is taught. All forms of evaluation,
including questionnaires, should be made available to and collected from students in such a
way as to permit students sufficient time for a considered response, proportionate to the nature
of the evaluation. Schools should aim to achieve an optimal rate of return.

Rest assured that your responses are anonymous and confidential. We do not use any
means to track individual responses to this survey. Please provide complete and honest
responses to the survey. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Instruction: Tick the box to rate the module based on your experience. The results will be
used to improve the student experience of the module. Thank you!
