contract types Regular, Fixed-Term (One Year Fixed Term, Two Year Fixed Term, and Special
Fixed Term), SST Graded or SST Ungraded

Validation Rules 1. Minimum duration: half day, based on respective schedule


2. Maximum duration: balance available + max of 10 days additional (after selecting the 'Advance
annual leave' absence reason) + if accrual permits till the end of the contract
3. When there is exceptional carry-over approved (exceeding the 60 days approved by DHR), the
excess over the 60 days should be taken within the next three following months (by the end of
March). By the beginning of every year (in January), those exceptional approvals received will be
adjusted in the system to increase the accrual
4. In calculating the amount of annual leave, working days only are considered for the duration.
Holidays and weekends are excluded
5. Leave cannot be booked after the end of contract date
Accrual Rules: 1. 2.5 days * Hours of daily schedule (Assignment Category is Not INTERN) per month
2 days * Hours of daily schedule (Assignment Category is INTERN) per month
3. If an employee takes certified sick leave during the Annual Leave period, then those days should
not be deducted from the Annual accrual balance
4. If an employee is on Special leave without pay, Annual leave should not accrue
5. When a staff member is separated, the equivalent to the outstanding AL balance should be paid to
the staff member. Any accrued balance should be cleared from the system when the separation is
processed (in case of rehiring, there should not be any pending accrual)
Ceiling Limit 60 days * Hours of daily schedule
