2 Grammar:
The material covered in the grammar syllabus in
Year 1 is extended and deepened by considering
more specific functions and uses. The questions
about the structure of the language, laid down in
the program for the 2nd year, 3rd semester, are
further developed in order to strengthen the

noun inflection, of determiners and modifiers in
the noun phrase; the peculiarities of verb
inflection, the specific uses of nominal verb
forms, of verb tenses in indicative and
conjunctive, of their agreement and combination
within the complex sentence and text, of the
means of expressing aspectality, pledge and
appeal; means of achieving coherence in texts
with direct speech, indirect speech and semi-direct
speech; techniques for expanding and
compressing a simple and complex sentence,
transformations.

original works of contemporary Portuguese and
Bulgarian authors without significant lexical
complexity, oriented above all to the already

(rather than connotative) dimension of the lexical
component, and the problematization of stylistic
differentiation is avoided.
