QOP Dropped Objects 25th July 2024


QOP Team of the OMAN LNG project conducted a “Dropped Objects Campaign” on 25th Jan 2024 at
the site focusing on focusing on educating the PLC workforce the importance of stopping objects from
falling from heights.
In a remarkable display of proactive safety measures in collaboration with Douglas OHI and Al Hassan,
the QOP team participated in the Dropped Objects Campaign.
As an example of good practice, the PLC / Douglas OHI `team organized mock performance of
dropped objects falling from height and how it can injure workers if action is not taken in time to stop
the objects from falling.
Props were set up as workers standing below while objects were dropped from height.

PLC foremen stressed that DROPPED OBJECTS was the 2nd biggest workplace killer in the construction industry.
STOP THE DROPS was the theme of the campaign.
Tool Catch Posters were displayed to educate the workforce.
Don’t leave tools, bolts, nuts or any other loose materials or materials at heights, these can fall and injure workers.
Do not carry tools in pockets and do not use untied tools at heights.
At the end of the campaign, workers understood the importance of protecting edges and tethering tools to ensure they
do not fall from height.
