1. Objectives: The objective of this activity is to provide participants with a hands-on experience in designing and
implementing DC biasing circuits for Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs). Participants will gain practical knowledge
about selecting appropriate biasing points to ensure proper transistor operation.

2. Materials:
A. Breadboards
B. Resistors (various values)
C. NPN Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs)
D. Power supply
E. Multimeter
F. Connecting wires
G. Oscilloscope (optional)

3. Activity Outline:
A. Continuation to BJT DC Biasing (15 minutes):
Brief overview of BJT operation.
Explanation of the importance of DC biasing.
Discussion on different biasing configurations (e.g., fixed bias, emitter bias, voltage-divider bias).
B. Theory and Calculations (20 minutes):
Understanding the DC load line.
Calculation of base and collector currents.
Determining resistor values for biasing circuits.
Overview of stability considerations.
C. Circuit Design and Implementation (30 minutes):
Distribute breadboards and components to participants.
Instruct participants to design and build a basic BJT DC biasing circuit based on the given specifications.
Assist participants in selecting appropriate resistor values and making the necessary connections.
D. Testing and Measurement (20 minutes):
Connect the power supply and measure the voltages across the transistor terminals.
Use a multimeter to measure base and collector currents.
Discuss how to use an oscilloscope to observe the DC operating point.
E. Analysis and Troubleshooting (15 minutes):
Discuss the observed results and compare them with theoretical predictions.
Address common issues and troubleshooting techniques.
Encourage participants to experiment with different resistor values to observe the effects on biasing.
F. Q&A and Discussion (15 minutes):
Open the floor for questions and discussion.
Encourage participants to share their observations and experiences.
Discuss practical applications of BJT DC biasing in electronic circuits.
G. Conclusion and Summary (5 minutes):
Summarize key points covered in the workshop.
Emphasize the importance of proper DC biasing in transistor circuits.
Provide additional resources for further learning.

4. Outcome:
By the end of the activity, students should have a solid understanding of BJT DC biasing principles and gain practical
experience in designing and implementing biasing circuits.
