houses several ancient buildings of significant historical and architectural value, the most famous being the

The Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kalimarmaro, is a multi-purpose historic stadium in Athens. It is the
only stadium in the world built entirely of marble and is one of the oldest in the world. It hosted the first

Visit this ancient stone theatre on the Acropolis' slope. It is still used today for concerts and classical theatre

Plaka is the old historical neighborhood of Athens known for its charming streets and neoclassical architec-
ture. You will find many cafes, souvenir shops and traditional tavernas here.
Athens is known for its amazing rooftop bars, many of which offer stunning views of the Acropolis, especially
during sunset. Try "360 Degrees", "A for Athens", ‘’Anglais’’, ‘’Couleur Locale’’ for some great cocktails and

Souvlaki, a popular Greek fast food is a must-try. ‘’Kostas’’ is the best souvlaki in Athens with the most tra-

the stars with the Acropolis in the background. Their film selections often include a mix of current and classic

This market is an area filled with shops selling everything from antiques and furniture to clothes and jewel-

Take a sightseeing break at Yasemi in Monastiraki, known for its aromatic coffee, delicious food and lovely

Psiri is a vibrant neighborhood known for its bohemian atmosphere, street art and lively tavernas. Enjoying
a Greek meze, which consists of small dishes served as appetizers, is a must-do here. Visit a traditional "ou-

Taking place every hour, the changing of the guards, known as the "Evzones", in front of the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier is a must-see. The soldiers' traditional uniforms and the ceremonial movements are a
