THE

STORY OF THE
SAD PENCIL
 At the begining of the summer
vacation,Daria,recived from her
parents a wunderfull box full of
collored pencils,in of color of the
rainbow.Among, these the most
valuable was the Red Pencil.
 Ahh!It ‘s hurt!!
Daria adored him,but without realizing Daria,holds me
it,she was causing him pain.She almost never like a broom!!
held it correctly,with three fingers. Most of
the time,she held it with four or five
fingers,and sometimes,even with her fist.The
Red Pencil was not feeling wellat all. Every
evening,when ther were all ghatered in thei
box,he complained to the other colored
pencilsof pain in his back,head,neck and
legs,and his friends looked at him
worriedly.Red Pencil moaned.
 She only holds me
with her fist!
It’s like doing
You have no idea contortions!
how good it’s for
you!
Yes!But, she only uses you to draw the sky!She use
me for everything that isn’t grass,that’s right!It
hold me so tight,that I feel like the grass and
colored leaves of mine ,no longer have sap!

The Red Pencil sighed,straightening

his back.”It hurt a lot”!
The Purple Pencil tries to
make them feel better:
But she uses you!She has
me in mind only for
shadows!I am
condamned to remain in
the shadows!!
At least you have less pain!They
press hard on me,almost always
blunting me or even breaking my
tip!!

Said the Yellow Crayon.

 As the pencils each share their problems,Red
Pencil realizes that his the one who suffers the
most because of the way he is held.
 Listen to me, friends!!
One night,the Orange Pencil,Daria’s
Maybe no one has explained to
least used but always full of brilliant
her,how to use us,until now!
ideas,realized how she could help…
Let’s learn it ourselves!I suggest we
all draw a pencil held correctly,with
a message:’’Please hold me
correctly,with three fingers,other
wise I’m sad !’’
 All the pencils
enthusiastically
applauded the ideaof the
Orange Pencil.So
secretly,at the
midnight,each pencil in
turn comes out of the
boxand draws the
picture suggested by the
Orange Pencil.

Everyone added
something,and finally a
wunderfull drawing
appeared on the sheet of
paper with a smiling red
pencil holding correctly.
LEARN TO DRAW
The nextday,Daria opened the pencil case and saw
the drawing.
She immediatly felt like laughing and crying at the
same time.
She realized that the way she was holding the
pencil was causing him pain.So,Daria decided to
use exactly as the drawing showed her.
Once Daria started holding him properly,with three
fingers,his pain started to go away.
Red Pencil was smiling again,feeling that he was
valued,as he deserved.
Now,he knew that his friends loved him and that
they all wanted him to feel good.
Since then,Daria began to use all the pencils
correctly,but her favorite remained the Red Pencil!
