Formative assessment is conducted to assess or monitor the learners’ knowledge throughout the lesson

“tasting the soup while cooking” if you cook, what you want is it to be delicious, that’s why in formative
assessment, if you prepare the learners’ goal will be achievable

No, because formative assessment is only used to monitor student’s progress throughout the lesson

1. In classes that I observed formative assessment are observed before, at the middle and in the
end of the discussion My resource teacher conduct a diagnostic test to his students during the
discussion, he asked if they understand the topic he is teaching and after that he asked some
questions to the students and after the discussion he asked someone to summarize what they
learned.
2. In formative assessment teachers have their ways to check the students understanding of the
text or the lesson. But as I observed it seems that my Resource teachers haven’t done a re-
teaching to his students

He is Jon-Jon Samiling LPT. He is a Filipino Teacher who is currently handling 7 sections in Grade 11
level. Base on my observation he is kind, humble, very knowledgeable, and simple. He always met his
objectives when he teaches. He excels in his field (Filipino). When he is teaching, he ensures that his
students learned from him and also he sometimes critiques his students for them to stand firm on their
beliefs. For example he counters the answer of his student then his student will argue with him
academically by this strategy his students will be able to enhance their reasoning skills and that you can
say that they are actually listening to your discussion and that they learned from it. I can’t deny the fact
that I have learned a lot from my Resource Teacher; Knowledge, values and even strategies in teaching.

I believe that every individual learner has its own style in learning, their own talents that have been
acquired, gifts that encompasses his or her ability and skills and are simply unique. As a teacher, it is my
responsibility to move my students, mold them with knowledge, skills, and values that will help them to
become a better version of themselves.

I believe that i should treat every learner in a fair manner. In order for them to feel comfortable and
have a better collaboration. As a teacher, it is my obligation to treat them equally. So, there is a good
relationship between teachers and students.

I believe that i should have a good collaboration or connection between my students, community,
parents, and to every individual. We should develop and build a strong foundation for the sake of the
learners for them to have a good education and grow in extraordinary way.
