Sub. Amendment to Rule-S of Appendix-Vlll of the Odisha Public Works Department
Code, Volume-ll by substitution.

After careful consideration Governmenl have been pleased to amend the Rule-S of
Appendix-Vlll of the Odisha Public Works Department Code, Volume-ll by substitution as
follows.-
Guidelines for Eliqibilitv r enlistment / un qradation of different Class of

Rule-S (1) - Super Cl ass

For enlistment / up gradation as Super Class, one should fulfill the following conditions.-
(i) He should be in possession of valid 'special' Class Registration Certificate or
equivalent class / rank in other State PWD / CPWD / Major Ports / Railway / Central or any
State Govt. Undertakings / Enterprises / Different Govt. pSUs.
(ii) He must have executed works worth of Rs.6.00 Crore in a financial year, which
should include at least one work worth of Rs 2,00 crore in a single contract_
(iii) Registering authority may relax the above financial criteria meant for Super Class,
provided the applicant for Super Class possesses the following machineries in working
condition:-
a) Vibratory Roller-2 Nos.
b) 100 to120 TPH Capacity Batch A/ix ptant-1 No.
c) B to 10 tr/T Capacity Power Road Roller-2 Nos.
d) Tipper-10 Nos.
e) Tandem Road Roller-2 Nos.
0 Hydraulic Excavator- 2 Nos.
g) Hydrostatic Sensor paver (100 TpH) - 1 No.
h) Wet Mix Plant (60 TpH)- I No.
i) Batching Concrete tVixer (15-20 cum/Hr)-2 Nos.
j) Plate Vibrator-S Nos.
k) Transit I\/ixer -3 Nos.
l) Compressor- 3 Nos.
m) Dozer-2 Nos.
n) lVlechanical Paver Finistrer (l00Tpll)-1 No.

(B) Special Class
For enlistment / up gradation as Special Class, one sl-tould fulfill the fol owing conditions -

(i) He should be in possession of valid'A'Class Registration C=rtificate or equivalent

class / rank in other State PWD / CPWD / tMajor Porls / Railway / Cen ral or any State Govt
Undertakings / Enterprises / Different Govt PSUs.
(ii) He must have executed works worth of Rs.2 00 Crore in er financial year, which
should include at least one work worth ofRs 60 00 Lakhs in a single crrntract,
(iii) Registering authority may relax the above financial criteria meant for Special
Class, provided the applicant for Special Class possesses the following machineries in
working condition,-
a) Vibratory Roller-2 Nos.
b) 60 to 90 TPH Capacity H lvl. Plant-1 No
c) 8 to 10 MT Capacity Power Road Roller-2 Nos.
d) Tipper-S Nos.
e) Tandem Road Roller-1 No.
0 JCB (Hydraulic Excavator) - 1 No.
g) Hydrostatic Sensor Paver - 1 No.
h) Wet lVlix Plant - 1 No.
i) Batching Concrete Mixer (15 cum/Hr)- 1 No-
j) Plate Vibrator-3 Nos.
k) Compressor- 2 Nos.
l) Dozer-1 No
m) Mechanical Paver Finisher (100 TPH) - 1 No.
1. This shall take effect from the date of issue of this Office N/emorandum.
