Elias Daniel Mogot, familiar with Daan Mogot,
is an Indonesian national hero. Born in Manado,
North Sulawesi, on 28th December 1928 to

academy in Tangerang, his previous ideal.
On 24th January 1946, Major Daan Jahia, the
regiment head, received information that the
Dutch attacked Japan and intended to seize the
Japanese army's weapons in their camps. Major
Daan Jahja thought that the weapons should not
be possessed by the Dutch army. That's why, he
asked Major Daan Mogot lo lead his troop to the
Japanese army's camp to demand their
weapons.
On 25th January 1946. Daan Mogot and his
troop arrived at the Japanese army's camp in
Lengkong, A peaceful negotiation failed and
there was a fierce war between the two troops.

We lived in tents about a week and the rescue
team helped us renovate our-house. My school
also moved to the field because the building was
broken. Many people sent aids for us. We really
thanked for the aids because it helped us survive.

John Harrison was a carpenter and watch-
maker. He invented the marine chronometer
which enabled a ship to accuratety know its
longitude at sea (position on east-west access).
His invention was critical in the development of

near Wakefield in West Yorkshire. His father

He was able to prove successfully that by using
