2023 Along Came Marcel

Also this year a splendid vintage and 2 new wines!

The 2023 vintage started at the beginning of September (early!) with the harvest of grenache
gris in the
La Caune vineyard. ->

ALONG CAME MARCEL BLANC 2023

Both grenache blanc and grenache gris (this year with grapes from the old vines from
Grande Piece!) are again splendid and refined. This is again the basis for my blend.
The hot summer and perfect conditions during harvest time guarantee a short growing
season and therefore lots of ripe fruit character. This early harvest gives wines with nice,
crispy freshness.
This year again we decided to add a small potion of dry muscat and even some macabeu to
the blend to ensure a complex blend. The juice we tasted from tank were super clean and
‘alive; with loads of primary aromas, good acidity and floral notes. Perfect blending material!
Drink 2024-2028

ALONG CAME MARCEL GRENACHE ROUGE 2023

This year I tasted the grenache noir from tank and it was só good that I decided this year’s
wine will be 100% grenache noir! Best tank an majority of the blend will be from very old
vines from Saint Roch (some more than 100 year old vines!). Pure class. Some other
parcels will be added to the blend for complexity and freshness from the younger vines. Lush
red fruit character, raspberry, strawberry, this wine is smooth and silky with some nice body
to it. Awsum!
Drink 2024-2028

As in previous years these special, one-time only cuvées are for sale en primeur.
Only 300 numbered bottles per wine available this year so order now! Sold is sold.

Although all costs have risen we managed to keep the price the same as last year!

Along Came Marcel Blanc 2023 is €12 per bottle and €72 per case of 6 bottles.
Along Came Marcel Rouge 2023 is €14 per bottle and €84 per case of 6 bottles.

Both wines will be available in 2nd Quarter of 2024 and will be delivered to your doorstep.
