The writer's main message is that people follow beauty standards from celebrities which causes

them to edit their photos and further develops the need to want cosmetic surgery. The writer's main

purpose is to highlight the reason for the increase in cosmetic surgery in hope of steps being taken

to redress how people see their self.

Two organizational strategies demonstrated in the article are statistical data and historical data.

Statistical data was offered as hard/scientific evidence that celebrity's beauty standard influence society to

edit photos and do cosmetic surgery. " In 2015, 42 per cent of cosmetic surgeons reported seeing clients

whose goal is to improve their appearance in selfies. In 2017, that number rose to 55 per cent."

Historical data was seen with the use of " line 6-9 " In the article.

The article could have been more applicable to the caribbean by including caribbean phrases/slangs

and use more scenario with caribbean people.
