1. What are the 4 Gospels? Mathew, Mark, Luke and John

2. What does “Gospel” mean? The word/teaching of god.

3. What family does God use to carry out His promise? The family who would be promised
one

4. Where was Jesus born? Bethlehem

5. What Old Testament book talks about the birth of Jesus? The book of Isaiah.

6. When God says, “You are my son, my beloved, with you I am will pleased!”, what 3 Old
Testament books relate to this saying? Mark, Luke and Mathew

7. Why are there 4 Gospels? The four gospels all tell a unique perspective of the same story. They all
claim Jesus is the Jewish Messiah who fulfills the Hebrew Scriptures.

8. What does Matthew present Jesus as? The jewish messiah


9. What does Luke highlight Jesus as? deeply compassionate

10. What does Mark present Jesus as? a teacher, an exorcist, a healer, and a miracle worker.

11. What does John focus on about Jesus? a human being who possessed actual flesh and
blood

12. What grand story do ALL 4 Gospel lead up to? A few are the feeding of the multitude, the
triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and when Jesus began his ministry in Galilee.

13. What does Jesus suffer for humanity? He was betrayed .

14. How does God’s Kingdom come through Jesus? Through his words.

15. What ultimate goal do the Gospel writers want from their readers? acknowledge Jesus
as Lord and become his disciple.
