DRYVIEW 5800 and 5850 Laser Imagers

Availability of Software Version 2.6.b4

IMPORTANT: When doing the procedures in this document, you must use safe work
practices and wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (for example, Safety Eyewear)
according to your Company's Standard Operating Procedures.

Purpose

The purpose of this bulletin is to announce the availability of Software Version 2.6.b4. The
software should be installed on a next-call basis to address any issues or functionality listed
below.

Issues Resolved

- The Securelink/Alertlink certification upgrade was added (no longer requires use of script)
- The issue of the system time changing after reinstalling software was resolved
- A change was made to address a high occurrence of 36-935 errors due to software
- Latest MICROSOFT security patches have been added
- The issue with 5850 local panel indicating 5800 at power-on was resolved

Enhancements

- Smart Link Agent v1.2 was added


- Support for CARESTREAM Managed Print Solutions (MPS) was added
- Changes were made to alarm reporting for the AXEDA server to be consistent with other
imagers
- Changed the VNC password to vardre to be consistent with other imagers

- Updated the Service Web Portal RMS pages (change to proxy types) for the Smart Link
Agent v1.2 going to the AXEDA server. The following changes were made to the proxy type
configuration:

Instructions

A bootable USB key can be used to install v2.6.b4 software on a DRYVIEW 5800 or
DRYVIEW 5850 system. The install and restore process will take approximately 15 minutes
(including restart).

Before installing the software you must:


• Have a bootable USB Thumb Drive (TL9G9640). If not available, the thumb drive
may be ordered from Service Parts. This bootable key is not the same that is used
with the newer imagers using the PartImage format.
• Download v2.6.b4 (separate files for 5800 and 5850) from the Service Portal and
extract the zip file to a directory on your laptop.
• Insert the USB drive into an available port on your laptop, copy all the v2.6.b4
software files to it, and configure the GHOST_KEY.INI file depending on the imager
type you will be accessing.
