African Literature mostly talks about freedom, contentment and spiritual stuff/beings.

4 types of African Literature

1. Oral Africa/African Lit - myths, supernatural, early history and tricksters (tricksters are

2. Pre Coloninal - animal tricksters, folklore and fables
3. Colonial - stories that goes between or after war and talks about independence,
freedom and liberty.
4. Post Colonial - Publishes books in western language (english, spanish, etc) and it is a
combination of present and history.

3 Basic Period in English Language

1. Old English - the words are not fixed in terms of technicalities, grammar and writing,
