4.7 Weather Resistance & Light Fastness Tests 4.7.

1 Outdoor Weather Resistance Test (1) Exposure equipment

The exposure equipment shall have firm and durable construction suited to outdoor exposure, and shall have a
mechanism to install test products in a proper manner according to the type, shape and dimensions of each test
product, which fits to the purpose of the test. The board shall be so constructed that it may be mounted solidly
and properly to the ground, etc., and its metallic parts, etc. shall be subjected to appropriate anti-corrosive
treatment. Remark: Provide the exposure equipment with an integrating illuminometer so as to measure the
amount of light received. The details are shown in (1) and (2). (1) The light receiving surface of the illuminometer
shall be of the same angle as that of the exposure surface, and covered by an ultraviolet ray penetration type
glove. (2) Dust adhered onto the glove and the light receiving unit filter shall be appropriately wiped off once a
day, if the system is operated continuously.

4.7 天氣抗性與耐光性測試

(2) Test method Install the test product on the exposure equipment, with the surface of test product to be
exposed facing the exact south and inclined to the latitude of the test site against the horizontal plane, at a
height 50 cm or more above the reference plane where the board is mounted (at the floor or ground level). Then
expose it for the duration given in Table 29. No specification is provided for the exposure test site, but indicate
the name of the site in the test data.

4.7.2 Outdoor Light Fastness Test
(1) Exposure equipment Cover the exposure equipment with a glass plate over the board specified in Section
4.7.1 (1) in such a manner that rain or snow will not fall onto the test piece. Fix the test box capable of good
ventilation to prevent the temperature rise. Set the distance between the top of the test piece to the glass
plate(12) 5 cm or longer. Note (12): Use a 3 mm thick polished glass plate free from bubble, foreign matter,
streak, irregular texture, and flaw.
(2) Test method Refer to Section 4.7.1 (2) for the test method. Refer to Table 29 for the duration of exposure. The
location of test site is not particularly specified, but indicate the name of the site clearly in the test data.
4.7.3 Accelerated Weather Resistance Test
(1) Test equipment Use a sunshine Weather-O-Meter, which shall satisfy specified requirements(13).
Note (13): Requirements for the sunshine Weather-O-Meter are as specified in Section 9.20, TSM0501G.
Remark: Use the sunshine Weather-O-Meter for the evaluation of the accelerated weather resistance test, but an
ultraviolet ray carbon Weather-O-Meter may be used instead if it is inevitable to do so, according to the
agreement between parties concerned. In such a case, however, the correlation between the sunshine Weather-
O-Meter and the ultraviolet ray carbon Weather-O-Meter should be grasped, or to indicate the name of the
tester used in the test data.

4.7.2 戶外耐光性測試

（2）測試方法 測試方法參見第 4.7.1（2）節。曝露的持續時間請參見表 29。測試地點並未特別指定，但應在測

試數據中清楚註明地點的名稱。

4.7.3 加速天候抗性測試 （1）測試設備 使用符合指定要求的日光氣象機（Sunshine Weather-O-Meter）（13）。

Section 9.20, TSM0501G.
(2) Test equipment B Refer to Section 4.7.3 (1) for the test equipment, but stop the spray from the sample spray
(nozzle). Remark: Decide on the selection of the test equipment according to the agreement between parties
concerned.
(3) Test method Use the original part concerned as the test product, but if the part cannot be used in its original
form, use test pieces cut off from the part or molded specimens. Refer to Table 30 for the duration of irradiation
of the light. For its temperature condition, decide it according to the agreement between parties concerned since
the condition may differ according to each part or portion concerned.

4.7.4 加速耐光性測試
