What is Workplace Harassment?

Workplace harassment is unwelcome conduct based on a person's race,


color, religion, sex, national origin, older age, disability, or genetic
information.

How can Harassment look like?

Harassment Includes:

• Offensive Jokes

• Objects and/or Pictures

• Name Calling

• Physical Assaults

What is Workplace Victimization?

Victimization is when someone is treated less favorably as a


result of being involved with a discrimination or harassment
complaint.
Ways someone could be victimized include: being labeled a
troublemaker, being left out, and not being allowed to do anything.

What are some examples of Victimization?


Some examples are:
• Physical Assaults
• Bullying
• Harassment
• Racial Bias
• Sexual Harassment
• Malicious Gossip
• Undermining a person’s authority, which means Subordination

A few examples of Victimization at a workplace are:


• Unfairly dismissing you from your job
• Being treated unfairly at work
• Making unfavorable changes to your work conditions
• Reducing your hours in work as punishment
