Course Design Course Title : ENGLISH AS A SECONDARY LANGUAGE B1 LEVEL Nominal Durati : 152 HOURS Qualification Level: B1 LEVEL Course Description The ENGLISH AS A SECONDARY LANGUAGE Bt LEVEL consists of competencies that a person must achieve in listening, speaking, reading and writing the language in the intermediate level aligned to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standards, This level includes the competencies which the individuals must have so they can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc, and can deal with most situations likely fo arise while traveling in an area where the language Is spoken. This also contains competencies to help them produce simple connected text on topics, which are familar, oF of personal interest, describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. Upon completion ofthis program, the learner should be able to pass any language proficiency examination corresponding to B1 level. Trainee’ 's Entry Requirements: Trainees or students who want to enroll in this program should possess the following requirements: 2. Must be atleast eighteen (18) years old and above Atleast High School graduate or holder of an ALS certificate of achievement (secondary) or Senior High School graduate ©.
